After attending medical school at the University of Tennessee, Dr. Laufer completed his internship and orthopedic residencies at the university-affiliated hospitals of UCLA, Cornell, and the University of Miami. He completed a fellowship in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery at the Hospital for Sick Children, University of Toronto. Dr. Laufer is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons, a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and a member of the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America.
Dr. Laufer is the Chief of Pediatric Orthopedics at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick campus, and oversees their Children's Complex Pediatric Orthopedic Program. He serves on a number of hospital committees. Dr. Laufer's special interests include scoliosis and general pediatric orthopedic care.
