Brief Intro

Dr. Pettina joined Suncoast Family Medical Associates after 35 years of private practice in Largo. He earned his medical degree at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois (formerly the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine). He received his internship training at the Detroit Osteopathic Hospital in Highland Park, Michigan. He received his Board Certification from the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. He is best known for his kind and gentle manner in treating elderly patients. His career as an osteopathic physician has touched thousands of lives with each patient treated with dignity and respect. Most recently, Dr. Pettina was presented with the 2011 Alan J. Snider Lifetime Achievement Award. Dr. Pettina has served as a Trustee on the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association and the Pinellas County Osteopathic Medical Society. He is further a Clinical Associate Professor of the Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medical at the Largo Campus. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association, the Florida Society of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, and the Pinellas County Osteopathic Medical Society. Dr. Pettina is on staff at Largo Medical Center.
