My partners and I are dedicated to maintaining our position as regional leaders by working as a team to provide the highest quality of care and service to our patients.â€ Russell Wilson, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a born Texan graduated at the top of his class with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas A & M in 1987. He completed his medical education at the University of Texas Southwestern - Dallas in 1991. His post graduate medical education brought him to Atlanta where he completed his general surgery residency in 1996 at Georgia Baptist Hospital. Dr. Wilson is board certified in general surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). Dr. Wilson has served in medical staff leadership for the last eight years, serving as Surgery Chairman and President of the Medical Staff at Piedmont Fayette Hospital. He is an Associate Professor at Atlanta Medical Center and Instructor of Advanced Laparoscopy. Dr. Wilson's medical tenure has taken him from the BIG state of Texas to the deep south of Georgia to the international soils teaching laparoscopic courses in St. Petersburg, Russia - Modena, Italy - Moscow, Russia and back to his home in the Atlanta area. He currently resides in Peachtree City with his wife and three daughters. When he is not in his lab coat you might find him on the water boating, fishing, or skiing. When on dry land you will usually find him under the hood of his current restoration project or behind the wheel of his favorite Chevelle. ..
