Dr. Rubin Maidan was among the first cardiologists to train in coronary angioplasty in the early 1980's and brought that skill to Eastside Cardiology, where he and his colleagues pioneered the use of angioplasty in acute heart attacks. He served as Director of Cardiology at Evergreen Health for 16 years and held an appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Washington Medical Center. He is also interested in integrative medicine, and collaborates with naturopaths and other alternative providers on a model of integrated cardiovascular care utilizing the best of both medical worlds to serve his patients. Dr. Maidan received undergraduate degrees from the University of Iowa, and earned his MD from the University of Iowa Medical School. He completed his Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Minnesota.
