Brief Intro

Dr. Christopher Cole is active in all aspects of general surgery. A native of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, Dr. Cole graduated from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, where he majored in chemistry. He earned his medical degree in 1993 from the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa. Dr. Cole completed a traditional internship at Tulsa Regional Medical Center and was active in the practice of family medicine for 8 years, including a two-year stint as Chief of Aviation Medicine at Reynolds Army Community Hospital at Fort Sill. In 2001, Dr. Cole began residency training in general surgery at Tulsa Regional. During that time he also served as a staff physician in the emergency department of St Francis Hospital in Broken Arrow. In his final year of training, he was appointed the Chief Resident in General Surgery. Dr. Cole has special interests in intensive care and trauma surgery, as well as laparoscopic, endocrine, and breast surgery. He is board certified in family medicine by the American College of Osteopathic Physicians, and is board certified by the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons. Dr. Cole enjoys playing golf, as time permits. He is a major in the U.S. Army Reserves, an organization he has been a part of for over 20 years. Dr. Cole is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, the Oklahoma Osteopathic Association, and the Tulsa County Medical Society.
