Dr. Tony Simons was born March 31st, 1961 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Portland (Oregon) in 1983 and his medical degree from The Chicago Medical School in 1988. Dr. Simons completed his internship and surgical residency training at Los Angeles College and University of Southern California Medical Center in 1993. He completed a one-year fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery at the University of Southern California in June 1996. He joined the staff at Longview Surgical Group in May 1997.
Dr. Simons is married and has two children. He enjoys hunting, fishing, mountain biking and also water and snow skiing.
Dr. Simons is certified by the American Board of Surgery and by the American Board of Colon & Rectal Surgery. He is board certified in General Surgery and Colon and Rectal Surgery. This can include surgery for benign and malignant conditions of the colon, rectum and anus. Dr. Simons has admitting privileges at St. John Medical Center (Longview, Washington) and Southwest Washington Medical Center (Vancouver, Washington). He holds medical licenses in both the State of Washington and Oregon.
