I was born and raised in Poughkeepsie, New York, and did my medical training on the East Coast. I chose medicine as a personal challenge, and loved the health care environment. I enjoy getting to know my patients and helping to impact their lives through better health. During my Navy residency in Portsmouth, Virginia, I met my wife, a Navy nurse born and raised in Seattle. We have two kids who are both attending college. I have considered the Northwest my home since 1997.
