Dr. Kirkman is a board-certified anesthesiologist with more than 40 years of experience. He received his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in 1970. He is currently the assistant chief of anesthesiology at Anna Jaques Hospital. As part of his post-graduate training, Dr. Kirkman completed a submarine and diving residency with the Naval School of Undersea Medicine and as well as an internal medicine and anesthesiology residency at the Naval Regional Medical Center.
