Dr. Akbari is board-certified in General Surgery and Colorectal Surgery and is an expert in robotic colon and rectal surgery. Dr. Akbari earned his medical degree from Pennsylvania State University, followed by general surgical training at Western Pennsylvania Hospital - Clinical Campus, Temple University School of Medicine. He completed a clinical research fellowship in colorectal service at Memorial Sloan- Kettering Cancer Center, and colorectal fellowship at the University of Minnesota.
