Meet Dr. Richard Mcpherson
Dr. McPherson is a seasoned, triple boarded physician who has been with Spine Team Texas serving the Rockwall area since 2008.
He provides quality comprehensive multimodal spine care, including advanced spinal interventions. After individualizing each patient’s specific case, he will create a personalized care plan to promote functional recovery. He is passionate about patient and personal education, often being asked to provide local continuing education to his peers.
Dr. McPherson is no stranger to Texas as the Lone Star state is where he was raised for most of his life. He lives locally in the Rockwall area with his lovely wife and young daughter. Outside of practicing full time medicine, he has multiple interests ranging from writing/playing folk-country music, reading, off-road overlanding, collecting historic memorabilia, and cultural travel. As an active outdoorsman, he is certified in Advanced Wilderness Life Support. He is also interested in the emerging science interface and translational medicine areas of the gut microbiome, fasting for health, hormesis strategies, and other cutting-edge research for health and longevity.
His personal and patient care philosophy is first do no harm, be conservative when able, and always adhere to the Golden rule, “treat people as you would have them treat you”.
