Dr. Schmidt earned his degree in medicine from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in 1987. He completed an internship in general surgery at Wayne State University in Detroit in 1988. He then completed his residency in otolaryngology in 1992, also at Wayne State University. Dr. Schmidt is board certified in otolaryngology. His practice emphasizes the surgical and medical treatment of nasal and sinus disorders in adults and children with advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques such as balloon sinuplasty and CT image guided endoscopic sinus surgery.
