Dr. Paulson attended Albany Medical School in New York and trained at St. Elizabeths Hospital in Brighton, MA. He pursued a fellowship in trauma surgery and critical care medicine at the University of Maryland Hospital. He is board-certified in general surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He presently serves as Chief of Surgery at Steward Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, MA. He is a clinical instructor of surgery at Tufts University School of Medicine and adjunct clinical instructor of surgery at Boston University. He also precepts physician assistant students in surgery. Every year since 2006 he has participated in the Pan-Mass Challenge to raise money for cancer research and treatment at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. He has been with Park Surgical since 1987.
