Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:My mom wanted to become a physician long before I was born. She never had the chance. Early in life, she instilled the desire to help others as the pinnacle of noble causes. Becoming a physician therefore was shaped by my mom. I was the one who chose orthopedic surgery. Orthopedic surgery is part medicine, part carpentry, part surgery and part art. Taking care of patients and helping them regain function and/or reducing pain has been an amazing career choice What I want my patients to know about me:I don't know everything. The field of medicine is VAST. There will be times when I don't know what is causing your symptoms. I will do what I can to ease your problem. I will not be offended by you seeking a second opinion. What I do when I'm not seeing patients:Orthopedic surgery is not only my career choice, it is also my hobby. I work on research in hand surgery.
