Dr. Hernandez-Cardenache obtained his graduate training at Pepperdine University and completed his post-doctoral fellowship training in Clinical Neuropsychology at UM Ryder Neurotrauma Center. He specializes in assessing brain-behavior relationships that are caused by trauma, aging or disease. His professional practice commonly employs cross-cultural neuropsychological examinations with Spanish speaking individuals aimed at delineating their cognitive, emotional, and behavioral levels of functioning. Additionally, he is currently involved in multiple research studies examining the relationships between sleep and cognition. Lastly, he teaches, provides weekly training, and oversees graduate students and psychiatry residents from the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.
