Michael J. Kaempf, MD, is a Diplomate (Board Certified) of the American Board of Urology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has been a Surgeon at Legacy Transplant Services since 2000, specializing in open living donor nephrectomies.
Dr. Kaempf received his undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon in 1968 and earned his medical degree from the University of Oregon Medical School in 1972. He completed his internship and urology residency in 1977 at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles County Medical Center.
Dr. Kaempf has a special interest in treating cancers, stones, infertility and impotence. He is a specialist in treating urologic cancers and diseases with robotic and laparoscopic surgery and donor nephrectomy. Dr. Kaempf has been recognized as one of the ‘Top Docs’ in urology several times in the last few years by local and national organizations. He is also a member of the medical honorary Alpha Omega Alpha.
