Dr. Dragann is a native of Philadelphia, where he completed both his undergraduate and medical education. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from St. Joseph’s University in 1973 and then received his Doctorate degree in Osteopathic Medicine from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) in 1977. Dr. Dragann then went on to do a one year internship followed by a residency in general surgery, both at Community Hospital of Lancaster. Thereafter, he completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA followed by a pediatric orthopedic surgery residency at Alfred I. Dupont Institute in Wilmington, DE.
While in practice, Dr. Dragann spent an extended period of time training at Philadelphia Hand Center where he had the opportunity to work with highly-skilled upper extremity surgeons who are on the cutting edge of hand surgery.
Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Dragann is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Lancaster Osteopathic Medical Society, Pennsylvania Orthopedic Society, Pennsylvania Medical Society and the Lancaster City & County Medical Society.
Dr. Dragann, who has a teaching affiliation with PCOM, has specialty interests in arthroscopic surgery, hand surgery, and joint replacement.
