Bingham Memorial Hospital is pleased to welcome Ray Hason, M.D., to the Bingham Memorial Hospital staff. Dr. Hanson is a highly experienced board-certified general surgeon.Dr. Hanson has maintained strong ties to our community and is excited to return. His father, grandfather, great-grandfather, four brothers and sister were all born in Shelley. His father owned a Nash car dealership in Shelley before going to dental school and becoming a dentist. Having a father who practiced dentistry was a large influence on Dr. Hanson's decision to attend medical school. He attended Brigham Young University, graduated from Creighton University with a medical degree, completed a surgical internship at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, and completed a residency at the University of California. He also completed a fellowship in peripheral vascular surgery. Dr. Hanson has been practicing general and vascular surgery in Merced, CA., since 1977.Dr. Hanson says the Bingham Memorial Hospital administration and staff have proven many times to him that the welfare of the Blackfoot community is the most important goal to them and he looks forward to many happy years in Blackfoot.Dr. Hanson is welcoming new patients.
