Educational Background
Dr. Solomon obtained a Bachelor of Science degree at Colorado College in 1980 and his medical degree at the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1984. Following an internal medicine and neurology internship at the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Solomon completed a residency in psychiatry at the Western Psychiatric Institute of the University of Pittsburgh in 1988.
Professional Career
Following training, Dr. Solomon returned to his native Long Island. He has held positions as an attending physician and researcher at the VA Hospital in Northport, the JT Mather and St. Charles hospitals and has been an associate clinical professor of psychiatry at SUNY Stony Brook for many years. Since 1989, Dr. Solomon has maintained an outpatient private practice, dividing his time between clinical work and consultation services for schools, law firms, employers and government agencies.
