Dr. VanderWerf received his B.S. in chemistry from the University of California at Davis and his M.D. from the University of California at Los Angeles. He was chosen to continue at UCLA for residency training in the Division of Head and neck Surgery. extensive training in head and neck surgery/Otolaryngology, he received advanced training in cosmetic and reconstructive facial plastic surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
