Brief Intro

Dr. Randhawa is an Interventional Cardiologist and is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology. He finished his cardiology training at Wayne State University, Detroit, and then served as a faculty Member at the world-class Henry Ford Hospital, where he also completed his angioplasty training. Dr. Randhawa came to Elizabeth in 2002 and became one of the founding partners of NJHeart. He is also the founder of the emergency angioplasty program at Trinitas Hospital, which treats patients who are suffering a heart attack by unblocking the clogged artery. This life-saving procedure has improved the acute cardiac care for patients in Elizabeth and surrounding areas. He performs 800 to 1,000 diagnostic and interventional procedures each year. He has been in practice in New Jersey since 2002. In addition to cardiac procedures he sees patients in the office and performs hospital consultations. His focus is on preventive cardiology and he works along with his patients to modify cardiac risk factors, such as quitting smoking and increasing exercise capacity. This approach, along with early detection of cardiac disease, helps in reducing the risk of an adverse outcome in the future.
