Phue Khaing, MD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and a part of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the GW School of Medicine & Health Sciences. Dr. Khaing completed her B.S. in Biology at The College of New Jersey in Ewing, NJ. She then obtained her medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in 2014. Dr. Khaing completed her Internal Medicine internship and residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mt Sinai Hospital in 2017. She recently completed her Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in 2020. Dr. Khaing's clinical and research interests include venous thromboembolism, pulmonary embolism response teams (PERT), and pulmonary hypertension. She has published peer-reviewed articles and presented at national meetings on these topics. She is also involved in medical education having led didactic and procedural skills sessions for medical students and Internal Medicine residents. Dr. Khaing is board certified in Pulmonary Medicine and Internal Medicine. She is currently board eligible for Critical Care Medicine.
