Brief Intro

Dr. Phillip Azouz is a board-certified general adult psychiatrist. His approach encompasses a relaxed, conversational, and non-judgmental space for clients to reflect on and integrate all aspects of their lives. He believes that vulnerability is the key to healing and growth and works with anyone looking to lift mood, reduce anxiety, improve sleep, boost attention, or heal from trauma. Dr. Azouz strives to help each client unlock their true potential.

Dr. Azouz’s psychiatric practice blends the latest research in medical treatment with insights from psychotherapy and coaching. He treats a variety of psychiatric illnesses including major depression, anxiety disorders, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), addiction, and personality disorders.

Dr. Azouz graduated from University of Michigan Medical School where he was awarded the Albert M. Barret Award for Distinguished Performance in Psychiatry. While a medical student, he conducted research at the Heinz C. Prechter Bipolar Research Center. He completed his psychiatric residency at Florida Atlantic University.

Prior to medical studies, he worked as a Mental Health Specialist at McLean Psychiatric Hospital and conducted research at the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind-Body Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. He completed his undergraduate degree in economics with honors from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
