Philip J. Gross, D.D.S., P.C. Credentials: Philip Gross is a native of Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from Ohio State University in 1969 and from Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry in 1973. After Graduation Phil served a one year rotating internship at Rush Presbyterain St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago in which he received advanced training in medicine, anesthesiology, surgery, and several dental specialties. After completion of his internship, he continued his hospital affiliations and was appointed Director of the Dental Service at Ravenswood Hospital Medical Center and an instructor at the University of Illinois Medical School and Benjamin Rush Medical School. Phil practiced general dentistry in Chicago until 1978 when he moved to Portland and took over the practice of Henry Tuchler, a prominent Portland dentist. He is also active in organized dentistry having been elected to the Oregon Dental Association board of Trustees and a director of Dentist’s Benefits Corporation and Dentist’s Management Corporation.
