Dr. DeLuca is an accomplished orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist, board certified in orthopedic surgery. He attended Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC and completed his residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He went on to complete a sports medicine fellowship at Yale University Hospital in New Haven, CT. Dr. DeLuca is Director of Orthopedic Surgery for the Philadelphia Flyers and serves on multiple committees in the NHL including Co-Chairman of the Research Committee. He was the NHL Consultant for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, and Team Physician for the NFC Pro Bowl in 2002, 2003, and 2009. Dr. DeLuca was awarded the Dick Vermeil Lifetime Achievement Award in 2014 and was inducted in 2010 to the Athletic Hall of Fame at Saint Peter’s University where he completed his bachelor of science degree. He served as the Team Physician for the Philadelphia Eagles for 21 years, including the 2018 Super Bowl championship. In 2010, he was part of the team which was awarded the Best Medical Staff in the NFL. Dr. DeLuca has expertise in ACL reconstruction, shoulder labral repair and other advanced arthroscopic procedures for the shoulder and knee.
