Dr. Hashmi earned his medical degree from the University of South Alabama School of Medicine as well as a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of South Alabama. He completed his residency and internship in general surgery at the University of South Alabama School of Medicine. During his residency he served as Administrative Chief Resident and is also a recipient of the American Association for Thoracic Surgery Thoracic Surgical Robotics Fellowship. He is a multi-lingual speaker in English, Urdu, Hindi, Arabic and Punjab.
