Dr. Nuzhat Handoo joined Childrens Care Center at Howard County General Hospital in 1997. She graduated, in 1979, from Fatimah Jinnah Medical College located in Lahore, Pakistan. In 1984, she received a Masters in Public Health (MPH) from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Her residency was completed at the New York Metropolitan Hospital. Prior to joining the Childrens Care Center, she worked at Ferguson Medical Group in Sikeston, Missouri and Total Healthcare in Baltimore. Dr. Handoo enjoys serving the community and has been actively involved in mentoring high school students interested in medicine. Dr. Nuzhat Handoo is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
