I grew up in Memphis, TN before migrating through Missouri for my undergraduate studies at Drury University and my medical school training at Saint Louis University. I eventually made my way to the East Coast, completing my urologic residency training at the prestigious Brady Urological Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. There I was able to cultivate my urologic skills with many pioneers in the field, focusing on minimally invasive surgery and oncologic reconstructive surgery.
My research interests include bladder cancer and the use of neoadjuvant chemotherapy, erectile dysfunction, and artificial urinary sphincters. I have published numerous articles in prestigious journals, written multiple book chapters, and presented at various regional and national conferences.
I firmly believe that as a physician, I can also serve as the patient's best advocate. I emphasize patient education, feeling that a more informed patient can make the best decision regarding their own individualized care.
