He has won multiple awards throughout his career, including the extremely prestigious Ron Michels award in 2011 awarded to the best surgical fellows in the country. Dr. London has exceptional training, including UCLA, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, California Pacific Medical, and culminating in a surgical retina fellowship at the #1 program in the US, Wills Eye Hospital. While prioritizing patient care, Dr. London has a strong interest in clinical research, and strives to translate the latest advances into his clinical practice. He is the principal or co-investigator on multiple multicenter clinical trials. He has authored dozens of peer-reviewed ophthalmology journal articles and book chapters. Aside from this, Dr. London has worked with multiple international aid organizations, including the Lions Eye Foundation and Medicins Sans Frontiers/Doctors Without Borders (MSF). With MSF, Dr. London traveled to Myanmar to treat AIDS patients with severe infections of the retina.
