Dr. Nedim Cakan joined Childrens Hospital in February 2012 as the medical director of endocrinology and diabetes. Dr. Cakan is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology by the American Board of Pediatrics. With more than 20 years experience in his field, he comes to us from Childrens Hospital of Michigan in Detroit. He was also an associate professor of pediatrics at the Wayne State University School of Medicine in Michigan. Positions he held included endocrine attending, diabetes director, and interim medical director, division of endocrinology.
