Nabil Hilwa, MD, FICS, received his medical degree from Damascus University in 1969. He completed an internship at Roger William General Hospital in Providence, R.I., where he also completed his internal medicine residency. Dr. Hilwa completed his general surgery residency at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C., and his urology residency at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Ohio. Following his internship and residencies, Dr. Hilwa was awarded a fellowship in pediatric urology, which he completed at Wayne State University/Children's Hospital of Michigan in Detroit, Mich. Dr. Hilwa has extensive experience with cryosurgery for the treatment of prostate cancer.
