Munir A. Shah, M.D. is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon who has additional fellowship training in the management of hand and upper extremity problems.
Dr. Shah received a Bachelor’s Degree from Wabash College, graduating SUMMA CUM LAUDE, and obtained his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Shah completed an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh and then spent another year in San Antonio, Texas obtaining specialty training in upper extremity surgery and microsurgery.
Dr. Shah is the only Board Certified Hand Surgeon in Montgomery County. He has CAQH certification (Certificate of Added Qualification of the Hand).
Dr. Shah specializes in the treatment of a wide array of musculoskeletal conditions from sport medicine, fractures and carpal tunnel syndrome to arthritis. He believes that many conditions respond well to non-surgical treatment and that therapy is often critical to achieving excellent results. Dr. Shah has been named one of Houston’s “Top Doc’s” by H Texas Magazine on multiple occasions. He was Chief of Orthopedics at Memorial Hermann Hospital The Woodlands in 2010. Dr. Shah has privileges at Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Woodlands Parkway, St. Luke’s Community Medical Center of The Woodlands, Humble Surgical Hospital and Memorial Hermann Hospital of The Woodlands. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.
