Brief Intro

Dr. Hunter is an interventional cardiologist who joined Ohio Heart and Vascular Center in 2002. She treats heart disease and also specializes in the treatment of peripheral arterial disease. She was born and raised in Fort Thomas, Kentucky. As an undergraduate at Miami University in Ohio, she majored in microbiology. Dr. Hunter then went on to get her medical degree at the University of Louisville College of Medicine and complete fellowships at the University of Cincinnati and the University of Kentucky. She extends her professional dedication to her community. She’s very involved with "Go Red for Women," a movement created by the American Heart Association (AHA), to empower women to take charge of their heart health. Dr. Hunter is on the advisory board for "Go Red," and is active in other AHA activities. She also works with peripheral vascular disease awareness programs, with The Hope of Healing, a foundation dedicated to saving limbs and with a non-profit group called WHIM (women’s health in motion) for women who have no health insurance or inadequate insurance. Dr. Hunter enjoys educating and building awareness about heart and vascular disease, but the most rewarding part of her job is getting to know her patients and to be apart of their lives.
