Dr. Chang is a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist, fellowship trained in pain management. He specializes in interventional pain management, electrodiagnostics and physiatry. Dr. Chang%u2019s extensive clinical experience makes him one of the premier physiatrists in the area. Dr. Chang's primary focus is on the diagnostic and therapeutic treatments of the spine and the musculoskeletal system. He treats musculoskeletal issues, such as pain in the back, neck, knee, hip and shoulder. His repertoire of treatments includes fluoroscopic and ultrasound guided injections, physician-guided physical therapy, and minimally invasive spine procedures such as kyphoplasty and spinal cord stimulation. For some patients with pain due to osteoporotic or pathologic compression fractures, kyphoplasty %u2013 along with other therapies %u2013 is effective in eliminating or reducing pain. Spinal cord stimulation, a newer and innovative procedure that uses an electrical current to treat chronic pain, may also be an option for those patients who have tried and failed with other pain management treatments. Dr. Chang graduated with high honors from the University of California, Berkeley. He earned his degree as Doctor of Osteopathy at Western University of Health Sciences School of Osteopathic Medicine in Pomona, Calif. He was awarded Intern of the Year while at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in San Bernardino. Dr. Chang completed his residency training at New York University School of Medicine, where he was selected as Chief Resident. Dr. Chang then furthered his training with a fellowship in pain management at Loma Linda University Medical Center.
