Brief Intro

Dr. Reid is Board Certified with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and the Federal Licensing Exam. He is licensed to practice medicine in the states of Tennessee and Arkansas. His areas of specialization include Sports Medicine, General Orthopaedics, Total Joint Replacement, Arthroscopy, and Fracture Treatment. He is affiliated with Summit Medical Center and Summit Surgery Center in Hermitage, Tennessee and with Premier Surgery Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Reid is a Fellow with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American College of Sports Medicine, and is a member of the Society of Military Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Reid received advanced orthopaedic training at the Hughston Orthopaedic Clinic in 1985 in Columbus, Georgia and took advanced courses with the Association for Study of Internal Fixation. His residency and Internships in Orthopaedics were served at Brooke Army Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. He was awarded his Medical Degree from the University of Arkansas School of Medicine in Fayetteville in 1975. His undergraduate degree was achieved at Arkansas Polytechnic College in Russellville, Arkansas in 1971, where he had three varsity letters in football and was a member of Blue Key. He graduated from North Little Rock High School in North Little Rock, Arkansas, where he was the president of the student body and was on the all-state football team. Dr. Reid was named the Outstanding Orthopaedic Resident Award at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, and awarded the Army Commendation Medal for Achievement as Staff Orthopaedic Surgeon from Nurnberg Army Hospital in Nurnberg, West Germany. Dr. Reid has been in private practice in Nashville, Tennessee since 1985. He was previously a Clinical Instructor in Orthopaedics at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. He was also a Staff Orthopaedic Surgeon with the U. S. Army at Martin Army Community Hospital in Fort Benning, Georgia and in Nurnberg, West Germany.
