Michael Castro, D.O., is an orthopedic surgeon at Summit Orthopedics specializing in foot and ankle care, serving patients in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area. Special interests include foot and ankle fractures and reconstruction, sports-related injuries, and tendon and ligament treatment. He completed an orthopedic foot and ankle fellowship at Portland Foot and Ankle Center, as well as a second fellowship in AO/ASIF (Osteosynthesis/Association for the Study of Internal Fixation) in Switzerland. “I view the foot and ankle as a ‘perfect machine’ that is taken for granted,” Dr. Castro shares. “When it breaks down, the effects can be profound.
