Dr. Michael Byrd earned his medical degree from the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta in 2000. He completed his residency at Cleveland Clinic’s Head & Neck Institute in 2006, where he received the Cleveland Clinic Innovator Award and the Bruce Hubbard Steward Award for combining sensitivity and compassion with knowledge and skill in medicine.
Board-certified in otolaryngology (head and neck surgery), Dr. Byrd cares for pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients, treating thyroid and parathyroid disorders, salivary gland diseases, laryngeal disorders, ear infections, tonsil and adenoid diseases, as well as conditions of the nose and paranasal sinuses. He has a subspecialty interest in ear, nose, and throat (ENT) conditions contributing to sleep disorders, including common snoring and obstructive sleep apnea.
Dr. Byrd and his staff strive to know each patient individually, collaborating to determine the most appropriate treatment plan. Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Byrd, along with his wife and four daughters, enjoys reading, cycling, playing baseball, and building model railroads.
