About Dr. Ellis Dr. Ellis was born and raised in Port Gibson, Mississippi, which is about thirty miles south of Vicksburg in Claiborne County. He is a sixth generation Mississippian with family in Claiborne County since 1828. He and his wife, Alice share six children, four of them married and have recently welcomed their first grandchild, Avery Travis Frazier! Dr. Ellis is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys riding his Harley and learning to play golf. The Ellis’ are members of Immanuel Baptist Church, and they have also been known to attend Mississippi State University football games.
