Dr. Vinson is a hospitalist, devoted to caring for patients who are admitted to Samaritan Albany General Hospital and other Samaritan hospitals. He works with a patient’s regular clinician and other specialists to provide skilled and compassionate care. He took a circuitous route to medicine, originally intending to become an engineer and a dentist before settling on becoming a physician. Dr. Vinson was born in Waldport and grew up in Oregon. After completing his residency with Samaritan, he chose to stay. In his free time, Dr. Vinson enjoys fishing, hiking, scuba diving, gardening and spending time with family and cats.
