Dr. Lewis's passion for medicine is deeply personal, rooted in his family's history of autoimmune disorders and diabetes. This, coupled with his own genetic predisposition to autoimmune thyroid disease, ignited his journey toward restoring his health and preventing these conditions from taking hold. This personal experience, along with his extensive training in functional medicine, has provided him with a unique understanding of health that goes beyond conventional primary care.

Dr. Lewis has also completed advanced studies in areas such as blood chemistry, thyroid health, brain health, SIBO, mold toxicity, and Lyme disease.
Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Lewis is an active contributor to the medical community, sharing his expertise by teaching functional medicine and lifestyle principles to health coaches and allied health professionals at the Academy of Applied Personal Training Education.
