Dr. Kissner has special interests in advanced techniques in laparoscopic and open hernia repair including hiatal hernias, inguinal hernias, and incisional hernias. , Dr. Kissner is dedicated to laparoscopic surgery of the colon, and surgery of the breast and thyroid. Dr. Kissner earned his B.A. in Physics from Gustavus Adolphus College and his M.D. degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School. He completed his residency in General Surgery at St. John's Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, MI.
