Matin Imanguli, M.D., DDS, FACS, is a board-certified, highly specialized otolaryngologist (ENT) who focuses on head and neck surgical oncology. He is an expert in management of head and neck pathology with nearly 30 years of clinical experience. Prior to joining Hackensack Meridian Health, Dr. Imanguli served as the Chief of Head and Neck Oncologic Surgery in the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey. He currently serves as Director of Head and Neck Surgical Oncology for Hackensack Meridian Central Region.
Dr. Imanguli has a unique background with training in both Oral Surgery and Otolaryngology (ENT). He practices full scope of head and neck surgery including management of benign and malignant tumors of the head and neck, thyroid surgery and skin cancer surgery. Due to his dual background, he has a particular interest and expertise in the management of oral cancer. In his practice, Dr. Imanguli uses both open and minimally invasive approaches such as robotic, endoscopic and transoral laser surgery. He is also trained in most modern reconstructive techniques, including microvascular flap reconstruction, and works collaboratively with the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery to ensure best possible outcomes for head and neck cancer patients.
Dr. Imanguli's prior experience was in diverse clinical settings including working with Doctors without Borders as a field physician. He completed a research fellowship at the National Cancer Institute (NIH) where he was an investigator studying immunology of the oral cavity after bone marrow transplantation. His current research interests include immunotherapy for head and neck cancer and improving quality of life outcomes for patients with HPV related oropharyngeal cancer. He serves as a Principal Investigator on several clinical trials.
Dr. Imanguli is an active member of the American Head and Neck Society, American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, North American Skull Base Society, American Academy of Oral Medicine, and the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer. Throughout his career and education, Dr. Imanguli has received many awards recognizing his excellence in the field.

- Voice box (laryngeal or larynx cancer)
- Skin cancer of the head and neck (including melanoma, basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma)
