Dr. Mark R. Fiss Dr. Mark R. Fiss is a product of the Pike Creek Valley area, as well as a graduate of the Wilmington Friends School (Class of 1990). He went on to graduate from Lafayette College in 1994. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in June of 1999. After graduating with honors from dental school and receiving numerous academic and leadership accolades, Dr. Fiss began a three-year residency program in orthodontics at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. In addition to receiving his Master’s, Dr. Fiss was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society. He returned home in the spring of 2002 to complete a Delaware general practice residency at the Christiana Care Health Systems Hospitals. In August of 2003, Dr. Fiss joined Alpine and Rafetto Orthodontics and remains committed to uphold the reputation and service that our patients have grown accustomed to. Dr. Fiss is a member of the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists. He gives back to the community by volunteering with Give Kids a Smile. On the personal side, Dr. Fiss is an avid sports fan as well as a participant. He particularly enjoys football, almost a requirement at The Ohio State University. He also enjoys baseball, hockey and playing golf, but running and swimming remain his passion for staying fit and stress free.
