MEET DR. MARK O. CUMMINS, D.M.D. Professional Biography Dr. Cummins was raised in Lexington, Kentucky, where he attended the University of Kentucky, receiving both his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Medicine degrees.  He then advanced his education by completing a two-year, post-doctoral residency in general and hospital dentistry at Wake Forest University School of Medicine/North Carolina Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. After residency he practiced in Newport News, Virginia, while teaching part-time at the Medical College of Virginia/School of Dentistry. Immediately prior to returning to his home state of Kentucky, he served on the clinical and teaching dental faculty at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. Professional Associations Dr. Cummins is a member of the following professional associations: American Dental Association (A.D.A.) Academy of General Dentistry (A.G.D.) Kentucky Dental Association (K.D.A.) Bluegrass Dental Society (B.G.D.S.) Family & Community Involvement Dr. Cummins, his wife, and three sons reside in Madison County.  He is very involved in his local church and has served as the Board Chairman at Bluegrass Christian School in Richmond.  He has volunteered his time, finances, and/or services to many worthy causes such as Special Olympics, sports programs, local schools, charity dental clinics, benevolence groups, and others.
