II was raised in Whittier, California. My father was a family doctor, one who was loved by his patients. My mother was a housewife---she provided a wonderful home, one in which her children felt safe and loved. From my parents I learned the value of family, friends, education, and a good sense of humor. I attended UCLA for undergraduate studies and medical school, trained in radiology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and returned to UCLA for an interventional radiology fellowship. I left UCLA in 1994 and have been at Kaiser Permanente since. I am married to a wonderful woman who is an architect. We have a delightful son and a funny Boxer dog named Sophie. My interests include sports (especially the Lakers and UCLA), music, and travel.
