Dr. Khorsandi is a board-certified hand surgeon.
Dr. Khorsandi received his bachelor’s degree from Boston College and his doctorate degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. His residency and surgical training occurred in Philadelphia and New York City and centered around Peninsula Hospital Center in Queens, New York. His training included some of the most prestigious hospitals and institutions including Memorial Sloan Kettering, Westchester Medical Center, Albert Einstein, Beth Israel, and LIJ Consortium. After residency, he went on to a fellowship in hand and microvascular surgery with the world-famous Charles P. Melone, Jr., M.D., who is known for his specialty in sports-related hand injuries.
Already known as one of Houston’s top hand surgeons and having performed thousands of endoscopic or minimally-invasive nerve decompressions, Dr. Khorsandi began treating hand patients with nerve decompression surgery through minimally-invasive techniques. He has been at the forefront of advancing the field of hand surgery and has attended workshops and training seminars with other surgeons from around the world.
