Dr. Tressler is Board Certified with the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Tennessee. His specialties include Orthopaedic Reconstruction and Trauma of the Foot and Ankle.
He maintains an active affiliation with Hendersonville Medical Center, Premier Orthopaedics Surgery Center, Skyline Medical Center, and Sumner Regional Hospital.
Dr. Tressler achieved a Fellowship in Foot and Ankle Reconstruction at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington, as well as a Fellowship in Orthopaedic Trauma at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. His Residency Affiliates in Orthopaedics were at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, and at York Hospital in York, Pennsylvania. His internship was served at Grandview Hospital and Medical Centers in Dayton, Ohio. He received his Medical Degree as a Doctor of Osteopathy from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio. His undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree was earned at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, followed by post-graduate work at the University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy in Cincinnati, Ohio. During Dr. Tressler’s medical education, he was honored with several awards for excellence and outstanding achievement.
Prior to joining Premier Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in August 2010, Dr. Tressler served as Assistant Professor in the Division of Trauma in the Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation at Vanderbilt University. He was on the Medical Staff in the Department of Surgery at Nashville General Hospital at Meharry. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedics.
Dr. Tressler's professional activities include membership in the American Osteopathic Association, American Medical Association, American Medical Political Action Committee, American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery.
