Mack L. Hicks, M.D. is a graduate of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and completed his internship at Methodist Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. He completed family practice residency at the University of Kentucky. He maintains certification by the American Board of Family Practice. Dr. Hicks is a member of the Tennessee Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Hicks is the past chairman of Family Practice and Pharmacy & Therapeutics at Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital. Presently, he is the vice-chairman of Family Practice and WHVMS. Dr. Hicks serves as a medical consultant for the Student Clinic at Northeast State Technical Community College. Dr. Hicks is the current President of Mountain Region Family Medicine Board of Directors. He also serves as the building committee chairman for Mountain Region Family Medicine.
Dr. Hicks is a native of Kingsport, TN and had been practicing medicine since 1987. He is married to Terry and he has two children, Andy and Katherine. He enjoys motorcycling, reading and yard work.
