Dr. Hunter earned his medical degree from Northwestern University in Chicago, where he also completed a rotating internship and an orthopaedic surgery residency. Since then, he continues his postgraduate medical education by taking several orthopaedic subspecialty courses every year. He joined the Helena Orthopaedic Clinic in 1985. Dr. Hunter is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and is a member of the Montana Medical Association, the Clinical Orthopaedic Society, and the Irish-American Orthopaedic Society. He also serves on several committees at St. Peter’s Hospital in Helena.
