Brief Intro

Dr Lynn Sydor is a board certified dermatologist who has been practicing in the San Mateo area since moving to California in 2007. Prior to that, she was a clinical instructor at Harvard University's dermatology program and practiced in Boston for 17 years. While living in Massachusetts, she also founded a dermatology clinic at Nantucket Cottage Hospital when she realized that islanders were traveling great distances to receive care. Dr Sydor completed her undergraduate studies at Duke University, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry. She returned to her home state of Pennsylvania to attend medical school at the University of Pittsburgh. Her internship year was spent at Boston University Hospitals in Internal Medicine. She then completed her Dermatology residency at Ohio State University, where she was chief resident and was inducted into the honor society of Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr Sydor truly enjoys seeing patients of all ages. She prides herself on her skills with pediatric patients, but equally enjoys working with young adults and the elderly. She offers cosmetic services such as Botox, and has more than 20 years of experience in sclerotherapy for spider veins on the legs. Dr Sydor is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the California Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, and the Pacific Dermatologic Association. She is the mother of two boys and enjoys hiking and traveling with her husband and sons. While she has many varied outside interests, she especially enjoys reading and antique collecting.
