Brief Intro

Dr. Amorosa is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in spine surgery and operative fracture care. He treats disorders of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine with a special emphasis on complex spinal reconstruction, minimally invasive surgery, and cervical spine surgery. He also treats complex fractures including pelvic and acetabular fractures. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, and is an active member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association and the North American Spine Society.He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame where he graduated magna cum laude and was a Fulbright Scholar. He completed medical school at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine where he was awarded AOA, followed by an orthopaedic surgery residency at Columbia University Medical Center/New York Presbyterian Hospital where he was a chief resident and was awarded the Harrison McLaughlin award for excellence in orthopaedic trauma care. He then completed a fellowship in orthopaedic trauma at the Hospital for Special Surgery/Cornell University Medical Center. Following this, he completed a combined orthopaedic and neurosurgical spine surgery fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals and the Rothman Orthopaedic Institute.
